Video showing the Laminate Mount up close, featuring a 30"x45" print with laminate mount of "Death Valley Clearing Storm"
The laminate mount is the closest thing you can get to the experience of standing in a museum and looking at a painting on the wall with nothing but air between you and the art. The complete absence of any glare makes this a great option for any display space but especially for rooms with large windows, and for the customer that prefers the look of a matte finish as opposed to gloss.
Laminate mounts start with a paper print that is adhered to a sturdy backing substrate called Dibond. The print is then coated with a thin layer of matte laminate and finished by applying an aluminum back frame so the print appears to float off the wall when hung. The laminate on the front protects the print so it can be easily dusted and cleaned without damaging it.
As with most all photography prints, laminate mounts should be displayed in a location that avoids excessive direct sunlight. These are museum-grade quality, and if displayed and cared for correctly over time, will last in excess of 100 years.
